Invisalign is the invisible way to straighten your teeth without the use of conventional metal braces.
Invisalign® uses a series of clear, removable custom-made aligners to move your teeth. It’s a comfortable technology, because you avoid the mouth abrasions that can be caused by the metal and wires of conventional braces. It’s also convenient, because you’re likely to spend less time in our office getting adjustments.
Because you remove your Invisalign aligners before you eat or drink, you can enjoy your meals without worrying about getting food trapped in your teeth—and you’re not limited as to the foods you can eat. You’ll also be able to keep your teeth and gums healthier because you remove the aligners to floss and brush.
Dr. Rodgers will use Invisalign’s 3-D computer imaging technology to design your complete treatment plan, from the initial teeth positioning to the desired final positioning. This means you’ll be able to preview the estimated final position of your teeth before you start treatment.
Using this imaging information, Dr. Rodgers will create custom-made aligners to move your teeth incrementally. You’ll wear each aligner for about 2 weeks, typically visiting our office once every 6 weeks for “progress reports.”
Is Invisalign right for you? Please call our office today for an evaluation to see if Invisalign can help you.
This initial visit may be the most important thing you do in our office. It is the critical point where we find out from you exactly what you want. It allows you an opportunity to tell us what your concerns are and let us know how we can help you.
On this visit to our office, you’ll also have a comprehensive dental examination. It will include a full periodontal examination, oral cancer screening, X-rays, photographs, and a full work-up of your mouth including models.
This examination is an important part of your care since it allows us to get a complete assessment of your current dental health in order to make recommendations about your treatment based on these findings and your personal concerns.
Veneers are thin shells of ceramic bonded to front teeth to change their appearance (color, size, and shape). Using veneers, Dr. Rodgers can often provide people who have chipped, stained, discolored, unevenly spaced, or even slightly crooked front teeth with a completely new-looking smile in just a few simple appointments.
Ever wondered if you could have a better smile? A smile that you’d be proud to show the world?
Our dental techniques make it possible for you to get an attractive, healthy, confident smile. Dr. Rodgers has taken hundreds of hours in continuing dental education to make sure that we can handle your cosmetic concerns.
We invite you to come in for an evaluation of your current smile and an opportunity to talk with Dr. Rodgers about how you’d like to see it improved. There are many ways we can help you, including:
- Tooth whitening
- Veneers
- All-porcelain crowns, onlays, and inlays
- Invisalign
- Recontouring
- Tooth-colored fillings
If you’ve lost permanent teeth because of accident, injury, disease, or extraction, dental implants can be a secure, functional replacement option. Dental implants offer a solid, secure, and aesthetic way of replacing a lost tooth or teeth.
An implant is special titanium post that is placed into the upper or lower jaw. The bone in your jaw bonds to the post, forming a secure foundation onto which your new teeth are then attached and shaped to match your existing teeth.
Dr. Rodgers will discuss your options with you and suggest a treatment plan.
If you are having problems with partial or full dentures, are missing teeth, or feel you need teeth extracted, implants might be right for you. After nearly 35 years of use, they have a 90-95% proven success rate when placed appropriately. Please call our office for an evaluation to see if dental implants are right for you.
Because we value our patients, we incorporate many diverse technologies and techniques into our practice.
Digital X-rays
Digital X-rays offer many advantages over conventional X-rays. They expose you to much less radiation—up to 90% less! We can check them immediately, so that you won’t have to spend extra time in the chair waiting for development. Digital X-rays are easier on the environment, too, because they don’t require all the harsh developing chemicals needed for conventional X-rays.
Lasers
Laser technology has provided us with several wonderful dental tools. A laser's intense, narrow wavelength has specific, powerful effects when it contacts both hard and soft tissues of the body. That means it can be precisely directed to only the tissues needing treatment. Using a laser often reduces bleeding and sterilizes the area at the same time.
What does this mean to you? Greater comfort and accurate treatments. In our office we use lasers for gum disease treatments, cosmetic gum re-contouring, decay detection and elimination, incision cauterizing, removal of growths, and biopsies.
Surgical operating microscope
Dr. Rodgers uses a surgical operating microscope for enhanced magnification and illumination when he works on your teeth. This allows him to see more clearly and precisely. Click Here to learn more.
Digital charts
We keep all our patient records on our secure office computers. This means that we can easily pull up your information for immediate reference at chairside or anytime you call our office with a question.
CAESY Patient Education
CAESY is an interesting and effective multi-media presentation system that helps us provide you with more information about your dental care. CAESY offers dozens of short videos that give you clear, detailed explanations of various dental procedures and dental health topics. Of course, CAESY doesn’t replace our explanations of your dental care, but it does enhance them.
If your teeth are badly stained (if you’re a heavy smoker, for example), we can clean your teeth using ultrasonic technology, or prophy jets. The prophy jets will allow us to clean your teeth using air so the enamel of your teeth is not harmed. Your teeth will look sparkling!
Nitrous oxide
Do you feel nervous or uncomfortable during dental visits? We may suggest the use of nitrous oxide, which allows you to feel more relaxed while remaining awake and alert during your treatment.
CDs, DVDs, and TV with satellite reception
Enjoy your favorite music, movies, or television programs during your dental treatment.
